Our service supports those facing challenges such as social or emotional behavioral issues, autism, mental health difficulties, bullying, learning challenges, or school refusal. We are here for students who are struggling with education for any reason. Our program offers a personalised approach, providing each student with a bespoke package tailored to their individual needs. Every student will have their own Individual Learning Plan (ILP), which is designed to help them achieve their goals and ensure they receive the necessary support. Students will not only gain new skills but also work on improving their health and wellbeing.
The specific support and approach for each student are determined during the induction process, which assesses how much assistance the student requires and the best ways to achieve their objectives.
Students can participate in centre-based learning or gain real-world experience through work placements with local employers. In-centre activities focus on practical life skills, such as cookery, budgeting, and health and wellbeing.
For students in Year 11 and beyond, the program also includes job search support, CV creation, college and job application assistance, and interview preparation. They will receive Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) sessions to help them make informed decisions about their future paths.
Students who are on work placements are paired with thoroughly vetted employers.
All employers undergo a thorough vetting process, and Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, and DBS checks are completed before any placement begins.
Students receive a detailed induction, covering Health & Safety and Safeguarding protocols. They review and sign off on company policies to ensure understanding.
Attendance is monitored daily and reports are sent to the school by 10:15 AM each day.
Regular monitoring and evaluation occur on a daily, weekly, and bi-weekly basis, with progress reports sent to the school.
Throughout the program, we collaborate closely with the student’s school, family, and any relevant external agencies to ensure the best outcomes. Placements typically range from 1 to 5 days, with flexible start and finish times to accommodate other commitments the student may have.
We offer a wide range of placement options, and students have a say in choosing their placement. Some of the fields available include: Health & Social Care, Childcare, Mechanics, Engineering, Dentistry, Construction, Animal Care, Car Body Repairs, Retail, Administration, IT, Hospitality, Catering, and many more.
